Title: RX7 FD Manual Tranmission - Clutch Mechanism.
Post by: Tiger_kpt on September 26, 2007, 08:08:25 AM
Just a quick one really guys. Is the clutch mechanism on a RX7 FD a mechanical cable type or a hydraulic type with both slave and master clutch cylinders?

If hydraulic - how much of a problem have the master and slave cylinders been on the clutch system of an FD? Is it common for them to go faulty? Or are they pretty much spot on?

Thanks,
Kyle. :WaveBye

It\'s hydraulic mate! Master cylinder is shared with the braking system!
I think the most common fault is for the metal pipe that runs from the master cylinder to the slave to split!
Can be easily replaced with a braided hose i think!
