Title: Mapping
Post by: Eddie on September 24, 2007, 10:09:21 PM
Took my car to be mapped at WGT today and once again great service.

Unfortunatly the map could not be completed due to a fuel pressure regulator problem or as PIP said you been shopping on ebay:) looks like one of those ebay FPR\'s which are rubbish.

Gutted as I bought it from a member on here a while back, the thing looses pressure at about 5000rpm and as we know thats not good:(, nice seeing as it could have resulted in a rebuild, glad i have been taking it easy and not tanning it, now who sold me the bloody thing its been a while but I am sure I will remember I am going to go and look through some old posts.

Pip also advised I remove the supper dragger I had on as they are rubbish.

He also said with a decent FPR I should be seeing about 350ish and I only got trust front mount, apexi, filters, alloy rad no air pump pullies no cat.

Cheers

Well I already had a tanabe one in the boot as I read the supper was not that good, I think its a little restrictive if your trying to get more HP, could be wrong but I find Pip know best.
I must say I noticed the differnce and the noise is great even louder than the super.

Cheers

Hi Lee,
Must have been your car we were talking about over the weekend! Did you get the proper Sard regulator in the end? Also, The Super Dragger for the Fd is the worst of the line, but the one designed for the GT-R is so much better.

HI John
Think it may of been someone elses car you have been chatting about as I was only in WGT today, but pip did mention he had seen a few of the ebay type regulators:)

On the hunt for a sard one now, want one as soon as really to get the job done, sick of not having hte car to boot around.

The super sound nice wonder why they did not do a good job you expect more from HKS, got the down pipe which are good apparently?

Whats the tanabe like, cant find any model names on mine though.

Cheers

Tanabe have always been good, sweet sound too. Yeah, it must have been someone elses as they had the same problem. Speak to RC Developments, as they bring the Sards in reguarly.

Cheers,
John

Hi John thanks for the pointer I wil do a search on RC developments, are they based in warrington?, did they have a mad bhp evo?

Remember going to work one day in warrington a couple of years ago and finding this evo up my back side, would have usually had a play but didnt that day glad I didnt try now as I saw it in a magazine not that long after pushing 900hp or something silly, would have looked a right plonker.
Any idea which model sard I should be looking at.

Cheers

Thats them. I don\'t have the model numbers to hand, but effectively there are two distinct sizes and pressure ranges. You require the larger of the 2, and runs up to a limit of 7 bar as i recall.

Hi Dave nice to meet you and your dad today, not the best news for you but your in good hands with Pip at WGT.

Mine went wrong as well as youve probably read above.

This is a great group so welcome, you should post in the who are you section and get some pics of your car up and a little about yourself, you may even be able to do some history on your car it may have been owened by a member at some point, and the info you can get on here is well worth the time to join.

Cheers and keep in touch would be nice to know how your build goes, I will add you to my buddy list.

FDUK is also a good site so you should join that as well, (I am type X on that sie) its a little more relaxed on the regulation but both sites are great in differn\'t ways

bye for now
