Just had a look on ebay for RX7\'s and came across this ad:

In the ad it reads:
I will give you the details of the insurance company, where you can insure this car, FULLY COMPREHENSIVE for less than £400,with only a £150 excess, in your own name, perfectly legitimately. What’s more, you do not need any no claims bonus, and even if you have some, they do not use it! So that means you could make a claim, and it wouldn’t affect your NCB. And, if that doesn’t get you excited, here’s the best bit â€" the vehicle will be on AGREED VALUE â€" that means that you are guaranteed a payout of a fixed sum if the car is damaged, or goes walkies. I currently have this car on agreed value of £8,000 with a certificate to prove it.
Any ideas of what insurance company he is on about?
I have been quoted by adrian flux of £1100, thats with one ban (TT99) and also an SP30 on my license. Thats for a modified Rex with 350bhp.
I have 3 years no claims.
Would be nice to get insurance for £400!
that must be on a classic policy as they don\'t use NCB, but you must then have a 2nd car as a daily driver and it is normal that the classic be garaged
thanks for that!
You also generally have to be over 25 and the car has to be 10, 15 or 20 years old depending on company...
The company is Footman James, they seem to quote based on insurance groups rather than individual cars
They quoted me 350 quid FC on an RX7, same as a TT Supra, same as a 1992 911 turbo too! :Laugh
Only problem is they don\'t cover grey imports, or modifications!

Footman James covered my modified Jap Import...
Weren\'t bad either, but AON beat them by £50 and, well, £50 is £50... :Giggle
Unless of course they either thought it was an FC (2400cc) or a non-import....
They cover imports, but they won\'t cover them on their classic policy which is less than half the price of their regular policy :)
Beleive me I tried - a quote on an R32 GT-R Skyline came to nearly 1800 quid, bizarrely I got a classic quote on it from them for 350 or so but that was declaring it as an official UK import (which of course is impossible ;) )

They must have thought it wasn\'t an import then I guess.. If so, lucky I didn\'t take it out as I\'d be uninsured come an accident!!!
i have a uk spec, i\'m 25 with £100xs, 6yrs ncd and pay £320 per year - admiral! :D
If you want to insure an import on a classic policy check out Heritage - I got a quote for about 520 FC on a 93 RX7 or R32 GTR, car HAS to be 15 years or older though.
Pretty handy, as its very difficult finding a decent UK spec for sale lol
 Quote(from ebay): "Those crappy imports" Bit harsh!!
Yeah he\'s one of those people that you can tell is a c**t just from his ebay ad:yes

& how un-classy is that \'7!! Poor 7 running on shiny roller skates :(
I know, 19s, what a nob - the sort of person who buys big wheels because he thinks it looks good, without realising that the handling will be ruined :(
