Title: fd single turbo misfire
Post by: baileyrx7 on September 13, 2007, 10:33:18 PM
hi guys, ive got a real weird fault. i have a single turbo  fd, all supporting mods, i.e injecters, fuel pump, fpr, i/c etc, when i leave it on idle for 5 or more minutes it brings on a bad misfire, almost like its only runnung on one rotor, ive had it comp tested and all is well as it  should be only 8k old. it does clear after you drive it on boost for a minute or so, but its not doing the car any good in doing this! the leads are new, plugs are new, f/pump and injectors are brand spankin, can any one relate to this or shed some light, any comments would be great. thanks guys, andy

Maybe it is a bit rich on idle and the plugs are fouling up,the run on boost burns the carbon deposit off and clearns the plugs and clears the missfire?
