Guys,
Noticed this morning a slight oil leak coming from the rear bottom end, behind the spark plugs area, any ideas as to what this is ??? Theres a fair bit there and looks like engine oil, when i changed my plugs i hand tightened them, you think the oil might have leaked out of there ??

you need to tighten the plugs a little, maybe a quarter of a turn. Hand tight is not tight enough to make the washer seal, so yes, its most likely coming from there.

i kinda guessed so but just wanted to make sure, and before changing plugs there was no leak so :o
Will have to do it tomorrow when i get time,
also check the oil filter as its in the same area and i always seem to spill oil taking it off and it takes ages to stop pooling under the car afterwards.

Funny you should say that as already checked that too and slightly damp but not the root cause i think, cars having a oil and filter change next week at the local garage so can get a better view underneath to make sure its nothing else, plugs will be tightened asap when i get a few hours off work !!!! just been called in early now so food / shower and off to work no time for tv even :rolleyes:
Are you still running omp pipes and pump? If so please check them just in case!!
I have a similar problem, but i think my PCV valve has packed up and pressurising the crankcase, i\'m going to chuck it!

Had a quick look tonight as checked the oil and it was very low right near the bottom of the dip stick :2Confused
Filled it half back up and then let the car idle to see if i could see anything with torch light as it was bugging me, sure enough 2 mins in the oil filter neck started to leak engine oil !!! so at least we know what the problem is 100%, the spark plugs i hand tightened but me hand tightening something to a normal folk there is a difference and they are not leaking at all (not being arrogant :o ).
Good thing is i already suspected the oil filter and a new one was ordered yesterday and soon as it arrives RX is having oil and filter change the very next morning, till then its stood still and going nowhere, been stood since Thursday so will stay parked.
