Well can you?
not in mine
What Not even if you take the front wheel off? :(
Depends on the size of the bike.

Interesting 1st post, bit random lol... Why are you wanting to put one in a 7 anyway?
i\'ve had a Mini moto in mine but it was tight :)
I doubt you could get a mountain bike in one.
Time for a creative bike rack (air brake)
Shaun
I\'d like to know this too, if anyone has done it
Surely if you were prepared to remove both wheels it\'s easily done.
I once put my 19" MTB in my T2 vert (roof up) but it took me the best part of half an hour and it was only just drivable. I think it properly could be done if you take the rear divider/seat back out but it would be tight the frame assembly is bigger than it looks because of the bars/ Cranks etc
I think i would prefer to get a bike rack that fixes to the boot, or some roofracks that hold a bike. Do a title only search for "roof rack", it was mentioned on here a few months ago with pics of one fitted
Think i\'d go for a tow bar, if it was that essential, got one on my scorpio, and a cycle carrier that clamps on to the ball,

Yup. I do Triathlons and have fitted my road bike with aero bars in my FD. Not comfortably mind, but it does fit on the back seat. Remember to put a sheet down so you don\'t get oil and grease on your seats.
As stated before, both wheels need to come off. Make sure the cranks are horizontal. Turn the handlebars so that if the wheel was fitted it would face to the windscreen.
It may need a bit of pushing but it will go in. You may also need to move the driving seat forward to make it fit. The rear deraillieur may also need to be moved to get your seatbelt on.
The wheels can either be put behind the bike frame or in the boot.
I\'ve tried tons of ways to fit a bike in the FD (putting the seats down etc) and this is the only way it will work.
Oh well I ask because I bought one this evening (rx7 that is, I already have a bike). The car is booked in to have an alarm fitted tomorrow. The garage is about 2 miles from my work. The garage opens at 830am and I have a meeting at work at 9am. Therefore I have to cover 2 miles in less than 30 minutes.
So if the bike were to fit in the car I could get an alarm fitted and make my meeting...
Yes i could probably run 2 miles in 30 minutes but I don\'t want to turn up to the meeting looking like i have just been for a 2 mile run.
skateboard :D
I guess you\'ve found out by now but yes as has been said you can get a mountain bike in an FD - I used to take my Kona down to Devon when I went to see my folks and will be bringing it back in the autumn as it\'s down there at the moment.
If you take both wheels off, and either take the stem out of the headset or take the handlebars off the stem if you\'ve got a front-loader then it\'s quite easy. You can even keep the parcel shelf on.
Never tried to get my full susser in there tho ;)
Cheers,
Alex

Glad to hear you\'ve got one mate. :)
What did you get in the end??
Rob I got the very clean, late 93, low mileage example you suggested I go and see. Completely standard with new brakes, clutch, and engine rebuild. Very happy with it so far.
I am really looking forward to the 300 mile round trip to see the in-laws this weekend. :)
You can get a roofrack.
Hang on a Minute, Ride the Bike... problem sorted :Thumbs-up
Ok let me introduce myself, I\'m the muppet that replys before he\'s read all the new posts :)

30 minutes to run 2 miles??
You should be able to walk that in that time?? ;)
Get the garage to drop you back home.....no doubt you are paying good money for the alarm....so I doubt 2 miles is really going to cost them!
All sorted.
The garage stated when I booked that I had to drop the car off. However no matter what way i looked at it I could not be sitting cool calm and collective in my 9am if I had to transport myself those 2 miles in less than half an hour.
So I had no choice but to phone the garage to cancel. Thankfully they then decided it was worth their while to collect the car. :chat
Looking at the boot now I think I would have to be pretty determined to fit a bike in there.
2 miles?
Put the bike in with it sticking out the boot, and just a tie-down on the hatch.
i had a bike in mine, both wheels off mind and the rear seat flap folded down. removed parcel shelf too. but still happily had a passenger in the car
Looking through the paperwork that came with my Rx7 it at one point did have a roof rack! o.0 The bigest things ive fit into mine are a set of side skirts for an mx5 and a 24 gallon tool chest! (Now heres the fun part, guess what was in the chest) :Laugh

A bike!? :rollin
Dear Philo,
I have no difficulty fitting my road racing bike into my 7 when
going to races or for for a short touring holiday break, usually
in the fantastic rolling and hilly countryside of Dorset and Wiltshire.
Tried and tested:Saddle and seat pin out, both wheels in the boot,
bicycle in the rear, with the handlebars turned.
Problem solved!
Best wishes,
fdman
Sod walking / cycling 2 miles... TAXI!:yes
Chris
D2BBA agree totally. 2 mile taxi = 5 quid tops!! about the same as the rex for fuel!!!
A bike Philo ? :D nawr think more random! if anybody manages to get it ill buy them a pint....:yes.
but i think if you do a little thinking you should fit a bike easy enough in the car.
