Since doing the single tub conversion I seem to have developed a rather nasty case of wheelspin :evillaugh think i need to get some better boots for my girl anyone got some suggestions as to what tyres are gonna be really sticky and stop me spinning so much :D
toyo R888 :D
yeh ive heard the r888 are good but have yet to use them. John how much do they usually cost per corner?? as a rough guide, odviously depending on where u get them
I was just checking prices and 1 rear 265x35x18 is 185 quid so not cheap..
Im sure they could be found for cheaper
linky! (http://www.toyo.co.uk/)
never had a set of toyos are they the business then? :)
Road legal semi-slick\'s apparently they are the nuts
Your tyre choice is going to depend on what you want to use the car for,
Goodyear F1\'s are the best by far for all round wet and dry road use and then the Toyos for track use if you need to drive the car on the road to the track seem to work well, but be warned as with any softer compound than a standard road tyre, they won\'t last long.
Hope this helps.
dont drive it in the rain she stays nice and dry in my garage when its raining so looking for maximum grip in the dry not worried about them wearing out quick as long as there mega sticky ;)
Thats why i suggested the R888\'s i know what your like :p
The R888 are good to start with but the go off quite quickly. If your looking at road legal track day tyres the the Khumo or Avon ZZR would be my suggestion as they availible in different compounds.
For a proper all round road tyre then Clive\'s suggestion of the Goodyear F1 is the best i\'d say.
thanks for the replys ill check all those suggestions out grip is what im really after need to try to keep the back end in check:burnout
