no idea what your on about :rollin

but the ecu is in the passenger foot well.

take the metal/plastc sill cover off (the one that reads RX7) then pop the plastic screw clip things out. job done.

to reset disconnect the negative terminal hold brake pedal for 20 odd seconds then reconnect and your done.

whatever is causing the car to cut power it will remain i would say so finding that should be priority.

sounds like boost cut due to rats nest problem most likely.

so basiacly you saying - reseting ecu wouldnt fix the problem.

Let me explain the problem PROPERLY. EXPERTS PLEASE HELP ME OUT - I RESPECT THAT MANNN---

OKEY HERE WE GO

THE CAR IS  MAZDA RX7 UK SPEC - DCATED - NO CAT - I NEVER CHECKTED THE ECU BUT I THINK IS STANDART ECU.

THE PROBLEM I AM HAVING IS -

CAR STARTS PERFECTLY - A BIT WHITE AND BLACK SMOKE THEN IT CATS - COMES AND GOES -

I PUT FIRST GEAR  - CAR GOES ABOUT 10MPH THEN IT CUTS  THE POWER I MEAN THE SPEED -

SECOND GEAR 20MPH  DOES THE SAME - THEN 3rd GEAR CAR ON 40MPH

SOMETHIN CUTTING THE POWER - SPEED WISE

I HOPE I DID EXPLAIN AND PROF RX7 OWNERS WILL HELP ME OUT

SORRY MY POOR ENGLISH

Do you have the accelerator pressed all the way down when this is happening?

if its decatted - you could be spiking the boost - so you are hitting boost cut ( safety feature )

Sounds like it cuts when you hit a particular RPM limit, and quite a low one at that !

Is the car fitted with an ignition amplifier - maybe one that has a security ignition cut - it would allow the car to be started, but would impose a very low rev limit on it.  The Crane Cams Fireball amp\'s have this feature - there should be a defeat switch for it.

Other than that, it sounds like the ECU is going into \'limp home\' mode - which would suggest a sensor fault or ECU problem somewhere.

you need to check if its a stock ecu, take a pic and we will verify for you.

if it has decat you either need an aftermarket ecu (e.g. apexi) and/or a boost controller to stop boost spike then the ecu cutting power.

do not keep putting your foot down until you have verified the above or get a cat and put it back in.

I have one and im not too far if needed but check everything first to verify problem.
