The very bottom tube of the solenoid located under the pressure chamber has a broken tube at the bottom, can anyone tell me how this solenoid is fitted please? does the plenum have to come off to get at it? or just the alternater, maybe wishfull thinking! hope to get another from RX motors on wednesday,
Cheers Bob
Realised it\'s the solenoid underneath the one that is maked in the picture, guess it\'s manifold off and rats nest time!:(

You need to take quite a bit off it, I couldn\'t reach it when i was trying to check all my solenoids even with the plenum off. I think it controls the airpump if the workshop manual is right so may not cause you issues. While since i looked at it though so worth double checking in the workshop manual.

Thanks Shaun, iv\'e traced it to the Double throttle solenoid thats broke, so maybe could wire that open for now and seal off the vacuum tube, but also the Purge control solenoid valve is broke, not sure about that one, anyone know what that does exactly? the problem is i\'m not geared up to do the rat\'s nest just now and my work scorpio failed MOT, so i\'m having to work on that as well! so wondering if i can keep the car runing for a bit longer, berore i do the rats! any advice please,
Cheers Bob
I\'ve been having problems with mine, have you checked your one way valves ?? Possibly as a temp measure you could extend the vac pipes that it it plugged into and wedge the solenoid close by. You can get to the pipes just by taking the plenum off, you just cant get to the solenoid, not enough room to remove it !
I\'ve turned the boost back to 0.7bar and the car seems better, think my problem is more the turbos not being happy running 1bar for almost 2 yrs !
