i have a mazdaspeed earthing kit.. saw neills and understand all the wires are put speradically over the engine bay (alternater, etc).. the only thing i cant figure out is, where do you put the oem earthing cable?? i cant fit both kits onto the battery terminal!
bump! :D:D:D
you could connect the earthing kit at the point where the negitive lead from the battery connects to the body, instead of the battery terminals.
cheers
Nige
nah, wont work.. its a big gold plated unit which slots onto the negtive terminal, then has lots of earthing cables coming from that.... only way to fit is directly onto the terminal...
could you make up a metal bracket to mount one off the other?
could do that.. was thinking of just cutting the terminal off the standard wiring, and rewire that onto the new unit.. or something..
in the skyline, the negitive cable went straight to the chasis and thats it (about 6inches long!), where does the rx7 one go?
u bolt the gold plate to the negative terminal on the battery and then spread it over the engine bay,.. iv got 3 kits here like this that iv removed from previous cars :)
yeah, was going to do same idea as neils, but what about the stock negative cable?
just replace it with one from the earthin kit bud
ah.. nice and easy then.. thats tongihts job (or a week or so!)
are they red cables? if so iv got a few spare kits here if yer short a few bits
err.. yeah i think so. bring them to the meet then and might buy them off ay ;)
