Title: General 3rd Gen Info
Post by: MintyFresh on February 09, 2004, 12:00:28 PM
Hi, im the newbie, be gentle with me.

Me and my bud are ready to spend our riches on a couple of RX7\'s, but before we do i have a coupe of questions.

what is the difference between all the different models (type R, R2, RB etc....)?

the cars we will be getting will be on around 40-55,000  miles.  is this ok?

i currenty drive a nissan 200sx, and was wondering wether mod cost are similar.  how much for a big bore cat back exhaust for example?

apart from the rotor tips, is there any part of the mazda that tends to be a problem.

sorry for all the q\'s.

Minty.

The two stciky threads should have the answers.

Well they would probably be approaching rebuild time, so as long as you are prepared to spend another 3k or so if needed then yes.

The problem is getting hold of parts.  Its much easier on a 200SX.

Depends how you define large.  There isnt much room!

Best thing would be to try one out for size.  Im 6ft, and whilst its tight I have no problems with it.  Some people seem to be constantly moaning however.

i dont moan i just wish they had supplied knee pads so i dont get bruising ;) lol seriously it is compact & all that but i\'m not even guna bother having the seats put further back as was my original plan as it\'s not bad at all with a smaller wheel but as already suggested best bet is to go & have a sit or even better a ride in one :D

Im looking everywhere at the minute.

Im buying 2 RX7\'s, and hoping to part ex the 200sx as well.  im not too fussed about the age, but as low mileage as possible is a must.
