Can anyone help with the location of the flasher unit for the indicators?
I want to fit LED bulbs and will need to replace the original unit with one that corrects the flashing speed.
I thought the TNS Relay stood for Turn Signal Relay but that unit is completely different to the replacement one iv come across.

Am i looking in the wrong place?
I know i could fit resistors but id prefer not to cut the original wiring as i did that on my bike and it looked like a bit of a bodge job to be honest.
On the FC\'s it\'s built into the \'CPU\' so its a bespoke unit and not replaceable. :(
However, all is not lost, and a pair of large power resistors can be wired in parallel with the bulbs to give the same loading and hence maintain the flash rate.
I used 4.7 Ohms 50W which produce a 3 Amp load ~= 36W which is a bulb and a half if your using the 21W indicator bulbs (the LED bulbs do present some loading so this seems to work quite well) - the speed of flash seems fairly close to the original.
Not sure on the FD\'s, but the earlier model cars share similar electricals.
ah right. resistors it is then or maybe il just leave it for the time being. i was after the easy option, as you do.
thanks for the info tho
Doesn\'t putting in resistors to simulate a filament kind of defeat the powersaving plus of LED\'s?
I\'m looking into this before I purchase some LED\'s for the whole car.
I think the FD has an electronic rather than thermotime regulation of flashing.
Just testing this thread, only just got back online!
