Title: Quick spark plug question...
Post by: Jono FD3 on September 01, 2007, 07:51:03 PM
Just changed the plugs in mine tonight & the ones that came out were all 9\'s???

I\'ve put 8\'s & 9\'s in now...... what difference will this make???

Also... 8\'s go in the bottom of the rotor & 9\'s in the top????

Cheers
Jono

No problem with running all the same plugs, I run my car in on 9\'s all round.  But then plump for 10\'s and 11\'s

As Teighto says 8\'s go in the leading (bottom) and 9\'s in the trailing (top)

from when i did mine, the only difference when reading was that mazda suggested having 8s in the leading to prevent the engine flooding, as obviously the 8s get hotter faster.
But mine had 9s in before and i never had any problems with flooding.
