Title: Newbie post featuring my cars past and present!
Post by: D2 TEX on September 01, 2007, 07:28:25 PM
Hi Guys,

My name is Nick (Tex is my nickname from school and D2 TEX is my private plate) I live in North wales near a town called Pwllheli and i\'m 24. I\'ve been a Honda nut for years now but made the move into boost when I bought my Nissan Skyline R33 GTR. I sold the GTR two weeks ago an on tuesday I drove up to Glasgow to pick up my new toy :)

It apparently had a rebuild before it was imported which i\'m not 100% on but it does fire up first time and pulls like a train. Its got a few issue\'s which i\'ll post about elsewhere but they aren\'t anything major. I\'m really happy with the car and it handles superbly. Its as quick as my GTR was but handles better and i love the noise it makes :InLove

My car history is as follows:

Here goes:

Started off with an 85 polo coupe and promptly wrote it off within three days
Second car was a 90 5 door Daihatsu charade which lasted me a long time but sadly got written off by a bus in a car park
Third car was the first car i\'d owned and not actually crashed :P  It was a 95 Fiat cinquecento sporting (cheap insurance after the previous mishaps)
Fourth was my first Honda and i loved it, It was a 4th gen Civic VT on a J plate, i lowered it and put an exhaust on and was very happy until a cheap CRX VT came along and i sold the civic to fund it. The civic later ended up like this:

Fifth car as ive already mentioned was a 1990 CRX VT in white which i did loads to including Gaz coilovers, DC 4-1 manifold, Dc exhaust etc etc
In the end it looked like this:
Thats the only photo i have of it with the coilovers on
6th car was a 1989 CRX SiR in Gunmetal grey which i went to town on as you can see from my for sale ad:

Quote(http://board.hondacrx.co.uk/phpBB2/modules/gallery/albums/album419/Sir_lower_004.sized.jpg)
The car is a 1989 G reg Gunmetal grey SiR with sunroof

Center brace that goes between the front and rear seats
MG Big brake conversion using rover 620 calipers and pads (only been on car since feb)
Wheels and tyres:
17" OZ Chrono evolution alloys with 3 nankang pro sport ns2 tyres and one that i got from quick fit the other week. (one new nankang needed soon)
Interior:
REVO short shifter with Momo gearnob
Momo corse steering wheel
SiR steel dials with custom EL backlight
UV Needles
Corbeau Forza sport 2000 fixed buckets
3 point harnesses with mot passable buckle

The car was dyno\'d at the scotland meet last year when it had a supersprint manifold and a different exhaust.
it made 179bhp at the fly
I sold the SiR to buy my current Honda which is a 1987 Civic GT with a B20

I\'m nearly finished with a full bare shell rebuild of the GT now which i have been keeping a diary of (not been updated for a while though) Details and pics can be found here (http://board.hondacrx.co.uk/phpBB2/modules.php?set_albumName=album688&op=modload&name=gallery&file=index&include=view_album.php) and here (http://board.hondacrx.co.uk/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=33250)

After I started the rebuild on the civic I stumbled accross a JDM 96 spec Integra type R which i got a cracking deal on and promptly bought.

It went from this:

To this:

and:

Once i\'d finished what i planned to do to the Teg i started to look for the next step and had always wanted a skyline so decided to find myself one. Lucky for me a mate of mine had just imported one through his company and offered me a cracking px on it with my teg so i went for it :D

I didn\'t really mod the Skyline as it already had basic mods fitted so i just tidied the wheels up with a fresh colour scheme and basically enjoyed the car for what it was (and spent loads on fuel   )

As I said the skyline was sold to a mate of mine 2 weeks ago and 5 hours later ended up like this:

Not a straight panel on it :(

So thats my car history done with. Sorry if it was too long and boring for you but its the best way i could think of introducing myself and showing what sort of things i\'m in to  :D

Cheers for reading and Hi :wave
Nick

Nick nice collect you have had over the past, love the GTR though the RX is a stunner. Is white a preferred colour choice? Or is it what people have to spay a car to get you to impulse buy it, lol only joking you have a lovely looking car.

It\'s a very nice looking car in the flesh, has a lot of presence and sits really nice on the coilovers, pictures don\'t do it justice!

My RX7 is now for sale as i\'ve just been offered a once in a lifetime engine for my Civic and i\'ll need the money from the RX7\'s sale to pay for it.

I know the ad says i\'m open to px\'s but unless the px is a cheap one with plenty of cash my way then i can\'t do it.

£5750 as is or £5500 without the HID\'s and the head unit.

The car is booked in with Mazda this week for a compression test so i can see if an engine rebuild has been done in the past.

Cheers
Nick
