Title: RX8 Insurance
Post by: Laura_1977 on February 08, 2004, 03:05:50 PM
My RX8 is due within the next  few weeks and I am looking for some help from people who already own them as to where to try for decent insurance quotes.

Have any of you managed to find somewhere cheap?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

:)

Hi Laura,

Some of our members have RX-8\'s  insured through AON and
Chris Knott insurance http://www.ckinsurance.co.uk/rotary.htm

of if you are able to qualify for a limited mileage scheme talk to AON\'s Adam Siviter 01384 552825

In both cases you will get additional discounts by being a full Club member able to ring armed with a membership number.

Hope this helps

Has anyone used this? If so what kind of quotes were you getting?

Admiral Insurance came in pretty good for me (better that Tescos in fact).

£558 for me and my good lady as a named driver (including protected NCB)

I\'m with Admiral and am not happy with them. They charged me extra for leather, and then told me it (the leather) was not insured!! I wrote them a letter of complaint, but all I got back was a load of crap. It\'s not the extra premium I\'m annoyed at, although I know other insurers don\'t change extra for factory options, it\'s the fact they won\'t insure the leather. :reallymad
