matt
lol i had them on ma last rex, we`r great.. not to hard but not too soft.. unsure on price but cn deffo recommend them bud..
FEED-Rocket: I have only got one thing to say to you!!!
DONT GO CHANGING YOUR DAMPERS!!!!! :P The Quantum ones are one of the best setups you can get!!!!
I am not changing them matey, i can\'t say much at the moment but i need to get a price on the HKS Hiper-D\'s. If anyone can help me out i would be really greatful.
had some new ones on mine, went through the backdoor of HKS Europe (Cambs) and got them for £500 but they will cost you double that. The ride was good, quite harsh even on the softer setting, ride heights were good at whatever setting and they looked fab. Not sure if i would recommend them though, expence and ride may not be the best if for just the road, for track then yes but maybe the Teins are cheaper and better alround for the road.
isnt hyper-d designed for drag racing?
Hmmm, so about a grand, thats cool, thanks for the info! I\'ve sent an email to HKS but they havent replied yet.
Hyper D\'s are set up for drag racing. They are valved and have spring rates for 1/4 mile launches.
The Hiper D\'s ARE NOT the Drag coilovers. The Hiper D\'s are for drifting. The Drag dampers are called Hiper Drag just to clear that up.
and they cost LOTS! Keep the Quantums my man
What is lots? Whats the price difference between the Hiper-D\'s and Quantums? Thats what i really need to know.
RE-Amamiya Quantums are £2,400 + vat at a rough guide. Can\'t get a price off the HKS Japan site as i belive thery are a special order. I can send them an e-mail if you like?
Please, that would be fantastic! I tried contacting the uk people but they weren\'t very helpful or nice, and the jap and us websites don\'t have contact email. If you solve this dilemma you are a legend! :King
I got my hyper d\'s from a mate 2nd hand for 300 quid

BUt you are aware as i said that the HIPER D\'s are for drifting? I\'ll jump on it tomorrow for you
Even though they are for drifting I had no probs whatsoever with them on the road, prob why they were a bit harsh even on soft settings but still good for going from track to road etc. Trouble is when buying 2nd hand is that there is little support in the UK for rebuilds, Even HKS Europe who sold me mine said there is no support with these, just the expence of sending them to Japan. Obviously there are people that can do the rebuilds in this country but its finding them and making sure they actually carry out the work.
Pete, I thought they were Hipermax IIs? I think that\'s what it says on the invoice. Unless they are one and the same thing as Hiper-Ds of course...
yep you are right they are HyperMax II\'s. Got mixed up there, its because I had a set of D\'s originally on it, one was leaking badly so hence the need for a new set. Sorry if I misled the thread.
Oh by the way.......nice car mate !!!
Nice car: Me or FEED Rocket? ;)
Downpipe fitted and mapped at 310bhp (262 ATW) yesterday at WGT by the way. :D
Sorry, I digress...

Yes im fully aware mate, thanks for the effort!
Did you get the price?
The only price i have been ablr to get so far is for the 200SX. I\'m still waiting for the RX7 price for Japan as they are a special order! I can tell you that the 200SX version is £1,350+vat but that may not reflect the same price on the FD.
Apologies for this taking so long. Usually HKS are very quick at responding to specail order enquiries.
I tried to get answers through HKS but they werent very helpful at all. Thanks for all the effort youve put in buddy, its very much appreciated!:god
I haven\'t given up yet!!!!
HA HA details on the coilovers.
They come in at £1,527.50 inc vat for the FD and they would take 8 weeks for delivery as they are a specail order. There would be a small delivery charge for a local couirer to you.
There is another option. HKS are building a range for coilovers for the UK market call the Hipermax III Sport. These i\'m told are curently availible but would still need a few weeks for shipping. These come is at £1,509.88 inc vat. These would be the HKS options for you.
Hope this helps
James
Holy crap! You did very well! So the HKS are around £1500 and the Quantums are around £2400? Is that correct? That would make a difference of around £900? Hmmmm. Thank you very much for all your efforts! I\'ll be in touch about some parts!
