Title: Boost spike only when hard right turn from standstill
Post by: Kash_ on August 24, 2007, 02:07:22 PM
Does anyone have any suggestions as to why this happens as it\'s really wierd :2Confused

Bascially whenever I do a hard right turn from standstill like a 180 slide my boost spikes to 1.12 bar and the Apexi hits fuel cut... however if I do a launch from standstill in a straight line the boost is fine? I also have no probs with boost spike when booting it on the road and the map sensor has been replaced recently. I\'ve also checked all pipes and can\'t see any cut or slit anywhere

Don\'t know if it\'ll help but surely a 180 you\'ll be spinning the wheels and so the engine will have very little load compared to having grip? Making it spin up faster than the wastegate can react?

Maybe?

yeah that could be a reason.... it happens when I just start to get the backend out (wheels just start spinning) I get boost spike, fuel cut and then lose the drift
