Title: Mind of its own Rev counter
Post by: oliverash on August 23, 2007, 05:30:21 PM
My rev counter floats up to about 3000 when the ignition is turned on. Its also reading much much higher than it should do on the move and regularly hits the red line when the engine is only doing around 4000rpm.

But then the other day on the journey up to v festival it behaved perfect.
Its a now a bit annoying -  any suggestions?

Suggestions ?.......... be prepared for it to go from annoying to totally psycho to dead.

That is what has happened to mine.

It is kaput.

Only thing you can do is get a new one (2nd hand)

Mine does that too - pretty common apparently. It\'s the actual gauge so only fix is a replacement.

Cheers,
Alex
