hi there,
Just wondered if anyone can help me out. i have a 93 fd and im lookin at increasin the power, now i heard that injectors are a good idea, i recently have had a rebuild polished ported engine, apexi ecu, remap, new exhaust, sports box....only got 280 at the fly (want more lol )
Guys whats the best injectors for an fd ?
Really depens on what mods you have and what you want, if going single turbo, it would be slightly different to staying on twins.
For big power (single turbo) we have a new batch of these coming out of the anodisers next week.

if staying twins and without pushing them to limits you could upgrade your injectors to ones that fit your existing rail.
well i have a rebuilt engine with polished ports, apexi with remap, exh and filters, thats it really..
my aim was for 300bp but only managed 280,,,, damm it LOL
any ideas ?
for such a small amount of extra power, you could probably make that on what youve got, or look for some 1300 that will slot in to you existing rail.
thanks, any idea where i can get some...
and if i wanted more lol :mmmm
I have a some 850\'s which will be fine for what your after send us an email mate dwarfslapper at aol .com:cheers
the FD runs 850\'s in the secondaries anyways
unless you are meaning to put these in place of the primaries
1200cc slots straight in get em from rx7.com. to be fair i know a few people in japan running stock injectors and just better pump and running 380 rwhp! so i would say change your pump if you haven\'t alredy.
hiya needham mate....
I reckon you could (should) be getting more power with what you\'ve got already... bit odd that\'s it so low with what you\'ve done so far...
i have to second that, you are getting stck hp with a ported motor which doesnt sound right.
i know im gettin angry :( hehe
hi red
SO THE rex has 850\'s as standard?
2x 850\'s in the secondary rail and 2x 550\'s in the primary rail is standard setup
Popular mod is to get 2 850\'s and have the primary rail machined to get them to sit properly. You will then be running 850x4 :)
cool,. this may sound like a really dumb thing, but what do the primary ones do exactly
Iv had a rebuild with a street port, running WGT silenced decat nurspec box and uprated fuel pump with apexi pfc mapped by WGT and im seeing 320 at fly. so id go fuel pump 1st then bigger injectors later for even more power.

There is some posts on here which explain in more detail of other than just \' they add fuel to the the mix! - I remember reading them, they tell you what rpm this and that happens etc. Just had a quick look but cant find - I would tell you what I remember but I would probably be a bit wide of the mark!
From memory the secondaries come in at 2800.
Please do not use 1200/1300 injectors as these are just bored out 850\'s and they have over heated, stuck and killed far too many engines over here.
Cheapest set up for a Twin turbo car is an uprated pump, adjustable regulator, then modify the stock rail to remove factory regulator and fit 4 secondary 850\'s.
Also you do not need to modify the cap to fit 850 secondaries in place of the primary\'s, even though they look different just pop em in and away you go after adjusting the map of course.
Clive: what do you mean by removing the factory FPR, do you mean remove and replace with better one, or just remove and run without??
yes but with 850cc in primary i hav herd of starting problems - it floods the engine plus rings are needed for a snug fit otherwise they leak.

If you look at the adaptor shown you put something like this up the end of the rail after removing stock FPR so you can push a normal rubber petrol pipe on the rail, then you can fit your aftermarket FPR anywhere under the engine bay.

Can only go by experiance, we have never had a problem
Clive: Crystal clear, SARD has the same "adaptor" Then I will go for that setup.. as I have the SARD 800cc\'s just lying about waiting for an install.
Quick question, is it best to use the Elbow piece for the rubber hose with regards to space, or is a straight one better?
Thank you very much!

Elbow is better but you can use a straight one if you do not have the elbow but mind that the rubber pipe does not rub on the bulkhead.
