Title: Injector Duty
Post by: FEED Rocket on August 22, 2007, 07:13:52 PM
Can someone tell me if my injector duty is too high. I ran it the other day and it peaked at 93% @ 0.9bar. Is this normal?

I\'ll check it out over the weekend. Spoke to Gareth at Newera and he said it was nromal for them to go that high, just wanted other peoples opinions. Does this mean i need bigger injectors etc?

depends how long they are high for and te condition of them ie if they have been checked but at that boost i wouldnt be suprised to see it that high for short lengths of time.

thats about right on standard twins with standard fueling, you dont want to go any higher at all though.

Im definately keeping it a twin but thanks for clearing that up guys. The car is in great condition all round having only done 39k. Yes the 93% is only for a split second while giving it a blast for a short period.

I ran 99% injector duty with standard injectors on track quite a few times ........

The water seals went before I blew the engine so hard to say ....... when I told Carl he tut tutted and slammed in some 1,600 secondaries ready for single turbo conversion if I ever do it. :)

How much did it cost for the 1600cc secondaries and did it reduce your inj duty by alot?

Cool, but it doesn\'t give a price. Just keeps saying \'sorry this colour is out of stock\'.

Wont let them be ordered until I get new stocks in, but the rail is advertised on site at £180 and if you buy injects and pump it gets discounted.
Will get updated shortly when new stocks in

If i was you, and ive realised that you tend not to listen to me:rolleyes:  is get some 850cc in a modified primary rail and upgrade your fuel pump. Cheap and effective. Then you wont have to buy an aftermarket rail, fuel pressure regulator, and all the hoses that go with it.

you could buy a primary rail, then get it skimmed (i think thats right) to fit the larger secondaries. Then you can just fit it, otherwise your ride will be off the road while it gets done.
Buy that pump of mister pete sparrow. That will do you, then you are sorted young man.

I\'ll have to get some quotes on a primary rail and skimming. I can get sard injectors for around £70. I\'ll check the pump out, if not i\'ll have yours!
