Is that Bar?

Standard twin set up should boost to 10 then dip to 7 for the change over for the second turbo then boost again to 10psi matey.

Just looked and 10psi is around 0.7 bar. So it looks to me that its not boosting properly and your second turbo isnt spooling up. You should feel the dip/change over when driving.

you`ve got a boost leak buddy :) o the joy lol... you should be se`ing 0.7 bar of boosty, 0.74 i think.. off comess the plenum time...

check all the easy to see pipes first, but most likely it`ll be under the plenum thats leaking..

cheers :)

Coincidentally I have exactly the same problem but only boosting to 0.3 bar. Booked in for a fix as it needs mapping before my MOT really :)

have a look at the y-pipe coupling, mine have this prob and it was the pipe there (had an almight split). Can you hear a hissing? Also try replacing you pressure chamber, this can cause all sorts of boost probs, i picked up a spare for £5

Are you geting your pressure reading from a boost gauge, if so then check your gauge 1st.
Also check your intercooler piping as i had an anoying boost leak and spent 2 days looking at every vac hose imaginable, turned out to be one of my silicone intercooler couplings, the clamp had sliped a little at the bottom where i could not see it and was leaking so i was running on .3bar

ok john came over and we pulled the plenum off no sign of any problems under there also replaced the pressure chamber tried two different gauges both do the same thing go to 0.4 the needle shakes around alot and it does dip when the second turbo tries to come on but it dips to 0.3 oh and there is alot of oil in the primary turbo intake :/ not sounding to great is it:rollin

Hey Jit, know your pain! I had a bugger of a time with mine, there are a LOT of things that can cause low boosting, have you had a look at the vac pipes to the LEFT of the UIM (you will need to take the plastic intake hoses off to see them) in the end my problems were caused by these pups being rather brittel and split.i could keep going and going with causes as i reserched it pretty indepth

Not sure what you got unde the engine, but have you checked that the pripes to the IC and TB are on tight? as they can leak through here (maybe thats your whistle)

Yeah it usualy is hot and runs rich :Tongue1  Stick with it Jimjitsu you\'ll get to the end (good looking car too and best color) and will have beated one of the most complex systems on the car :wiggle    ooooorrr go non-seqif you cant beat/fancy the delivery of.

You say you have a whistle up to 5k I had a similar problem thinking about it (car woulld whistle all the way to around 4.5k then go quiet when the 2nd turbo kicked in) And it was because i in my finate wisdom messed up with the Elbow, having it slightly off. (was resting on the gasket, reseated it and no more whistle.) Not saying this is your problem but it sounds similar,As people have said, check those IC pipes from the Turbo to the Thottle body.  takes 30 mins just make sure they are all secure and good:yes

Also dont think ive seen the engine of your car m8 do you have a pic? ^^
