Very recently i\'ve noticed than when i put my foot down and the turbo\'s come into play i get a slight smell of petrol from inside the car! i must confess that the other day i had to resort to regular poo unleaded cos its all they had so i dont know if this could be an issue but it\'d suprise me!
Has any one else had this problem?
does n e one know of a cause/cure for this?

Not sure Tom, i\'ve been told to use "optimax" but must confess to using Superunleaded as the station for optimax is quite a way from me!!!

Sure you didn\'t get some on your cloths and thus wiped on seats??
In an emrgency you should eb able to get away with ordinary unleaded as long as you do not give the car any welly.
Drive it off boost, or low boost and it shuld eb no problem. Of course with the temptation to floor it, I\'d put in enough (with safety margin) to get me to a SUL seeling garage.
Our cars have 4 injectors. Where these injectors are mounted in the manifold, there is a little round rubber seal on each injector. It is likely that one of these is leaking. Bit of a job to replace them, though.
It could also be a leaking inlet manifold gasket, though this is usually shown with a bad idling symptom.

its a pain really because in order to get a high ron feul i have to go right out my way so i wonder if this is whats caused the problem!
are the injectors hard to locate! once i know what to look for i\'ll be ok, i\'m qiute handy with a tool kit!
GSB876- i wish my smelly clothes were the problem but its happened a few times over different days!

if it is these rubber seals on the injectors, do you know if you can by these without buying new injectors?
i\'m making it sound as if the cars about to catch light but its not as drastic as that!:)
