A little trick i worked out (although i am sure someone else would have done it). Rather than having to find a odd location for a fog light switch, buy original uk spec fog switch which you can fit into one of the import blank switches, part number FD1466480A. Cut off the connector block on the end, take the red/green wire and connect to earth, take the white to a lights live for the + supply and then take the red/black and red/yellow and connect to supply wire to the fog light and there you have it, this way the illumination on the actual switch will only light up when sitched on, so you have the obligatory tell tale for MOT. Hope this helps.
Where are the UK spec fogs located? Are they housed in where the reverse lights/ reflectors are?
Out of interest how much was the switch?
