Title: Locking wheel nuts?
Post by: Grizzly on August 14, 2007, 07:18:13 PM
Well i have to say how truly useless Locking wheel nuts are.

A mate of mine who has just bought a Mx5 with no less than Three sets of Genuine Mazda Locking wheel nuts fitted, he rang me up yesterday and said he couldn\'t find the key to any of them??? could i help??? So expecting a bit of a nightmare (welding Nuts on and all that sprung to mind) i took it too work too have a play.

surprising to me it took ten minutes to get all three sets off :3Confused with no power tools etc just a 19mm socket and a Lump hammer. I was shocked... Whats the point in having them if they are that poor.

So i have just ordered a set of Rays 7 sided Alloy lockers, so when i put my shiny new rims on at least if they get nicked i know the G*t\'s had a nightmare to get them off (effectively 5 sets of Lockers :))
