Title: Help - headlight cover broken/painting question
Post by: d6277n on August 14, 2007, 07:01:50 PM
Just got back from Rotorstock and thought I\'d fix my cracked headlight cover. It\'s the driver\'s side one and the rear mount had cracked almost all the way through. I took it off last night very carefully but it was so far gone that just touching it today broke the whole mounting bracket off. It looks like the heat has aged the plastic as it is very brittle with lots of little bits missing - there is no way it will glue as two of the three supporting struts are missing completely!

So, I need to get a new one

and these look promising. I\'ve pm\'d Gary to see if he has them available.

I\'m guessing that the black cover will still need painting on a black car to blend in, so can anyone recommend a decent place to get this done? Any ideas on how much it will cost?

Thanks,

Chris.

it realy is a small job, if its off the car it would cost proberly £10-£30 tops depending on how bussy they are and if they can do it with another job to cut booth time down.
