Most of you will know which car this is :Giggle
Told the owner it was worth that sort of price at santa pod earlier in the season, but he didn\'t believe me.He thought he\'d get 16k for it.:spank
Does anyone know the history of this car?
Seems like every new owner puts it up for sale straight away??

Think thet imported it into the uk earlier this year. The owner asked me how much she was worth,my answer was not alot without i certified engine rebuild. His reply was "well its got to be worth 16k atleast". He didn\'t seem to know alot about the rotary scene or the techincals of his car. Probably bought it in an auction, thinking he\'d make a killing on it in the uk. He said it had a fresh rebuild but no way to prove it.He got quite irrate when i said his word didn\'t really count for anything and the cars most likely to be worth between 5 n 6k.
Hahaha. He\'s got no idea. Even the triple rotor on here only went for £14.5.
If it was a genuine veilside car, maybe veilside have a record of the engine?!
If it was the genuine article why aren\'t veilside selling themselves? Also why if its the most recent veilside showcar is it running their oldest bodykit? I asked him if he could get proof of the build to help the sale but he seemed to think he couldn\'t,i didn\'t ask why.Not happy with my pricing he asked other rotary owners and he pretty much got the same answers.
teres 2 ads on the bay for that car...one from a seller with decent feedback for 9500 and that one for 4500 from a guy with no feedback, new user etc and whos offering shipping..... you do the math
ive just asked if he can get a mazda compression test done so we will wait and see!!
Mark
I love them seats:King
it is spoof ad.
Loads of them out there unfortunately
**BEWARE** (My personal opinion) I emailed this guy with Zero feedback selling it for £4500 shipped. I asked him why he was selling it. His answer was that he had a family crisis and he had to sell it cheap. He also said that you could not view or drive the car but if you wanted it, he would set up a proper transaction through ebay and you pay him £4500 (without even seeing the car) and he will ship it to you anywhere within the UK......YEAH RIGHT!
I\'ll give him my girlfriend to pay him in kind just for the seats lol
Really dodgy if you ask me, I wouldn\'t buy a car unless I could see it and know its history. At 4.5K without knowing if its had a rebuild or not that still an okay price as some of the parts are worth a fair bit anyway.
Why dont people say they will buy it and pay him on collection, wonder what he would say

I bet you any money he would only ship the car after funds had cleared !!!
I know it aint to everyones taste, what with a Veilside kit on and all (including me ;), but even with a blown engine 4.5K doesnt sound too bad. Its got a lot of kit and a pricy re-spray (if its been done well).
Chris
theres so many like this on ebay. Like Focus RS\'s for £3500 or something silly.
they\'re all scams. But you got to think. One person falls for it, they make themselves a tidy profit.
just a scam happens to loads of people on forums etc who post lots of pics and info. sometimes somone is trying to sell thier car!
Pistonheads are getting a lot of these scams and are trying to put in place a screening system to stop it. Good luck with it, as it will be very hard to control.
Why can\'t these people just get a job to make money like most of us - rather than come up with rip off scams. The main problem is it\'ll just lead to no one buying stuff off the net for fear of getting scammed, which isn\'t fair on the genuine sellers.

Thats too easy for them!
Oops, here was me thinking it was genuine. Not that I would have bid, but thanks for the wake-up call gents :)
Chris
I think it was at some point. But if you can rip off a few peeps you make your money back and still have the car....
oh yes, the other one that is (or was yesterday) on there is genuine.
And I actually quite like it, apart from maybe the fact that the flip is a bit dated now. but how difficult is a respray eh!?
The actual car i like quite a lot. I feel sorry for the guy actually selling the vehicle. I bet a lot of people are being put off the car by seeing it advertised at two very different prices.

I\'m hoping people are becoming more wise to all these scams though!
Another example:

I think the owner is still listing it at the mo on ebay for about £5k.
Another reason these scammers do this is, when people message them asking them "why so cheap" , "would you swap with my nova", "has it got Nos" and whatever other random messages you always get on ebay.
They have then also got your ACTIVE email address, and then sell these email addresses to spam emailers.
So basically, dont message these dodgy ads either!
Didnt think about the active email account - good tip!
