Title: Not a single FD on the road!!
Post by: evo_ray on August 14, 2007, 12:29:09 AM
What happens after RS4?? Does everyone put their FD\'s in the garage?  I did a round trip of 300 miles from Luton to Buxton in my FD (now that I know it\'s got a healthy engine :yes) and I didn\'t see a single RX for the entire journey:2Confused.

Must say though, the roads around Buxton have to be amonsts some of the most scenic I\'ve been on in a long time :burnout

Most FD\'s , I think , are weekend toys, not be driven on the road much.

You\'ll have to look for RX-8s (though if you wave at them from an RX-7, they think you\'re a nutter or a pervert!)

I did see a couple of RX-8\'s and quite a few Z3\'s. I\'ll have to remember to make my journeys on weekends then :Laugh.

If you ask me, the FD is an excellent everyday use car, much better than my Focus! :InLove

Did you go through Macclesfield to Buxton? i.e. The cat and fiddle (A537)

I live at the Macclesfield end of that road and you would have been Unlucky not to have seen mine parked on the drive, was in most of the day.

I just followed my friend Tom...Tom!  Took the M1 got off at J24.  On the way back, I went a slightly different route. I remember a road that had signs saying \'13 Bends\', very nice! I think I joined the M1 at J25 - where Tom says......I go :D

You would know if it was the Cat, there are singes on each corner (like Pace notes) And a Strate bit near the top that has a Bump in it that makes you feel like your taking off when you hit it as speed.

It is like so many things in life, why do I never see baby pigeons, why do I never see other FD\'s except when I am driving another car, why do I never see topless models when I am out shopping ....... you know the sort of thing.

I took the scenic route over the tops to WGT last saturday.

Only one of my friends understood why I was soo proud to have a bruise on my chest from where the seat belt held me back.
