You would only use 7\'s in a poor compression FD that floods to get around the problem, 9\'s are fine in your engine unless you have a big turbo, big  power car but then you would be looking at colder plugs not hotter.

Hope this helps

I had 9\'s all round in my FD for years when it was all standard with no problems, even on the only one time I ever stalled! :Giggle

Used 7s+9s and used 9s all round not realy any differance maybe a slight improvement in traffic. Summit are good for plugs but with handling charge and delivery from US ends up costing the same as here. But works out cheaper if you buy more than one set.

so if you have alot of power with the big single turbo conversion, what plug heat range would be best to use for leading and trailing? would 10\'s all round get rid of any miss fire? im using NGK BUR 9EQ\'s at the mo and has a very nasty miss fire on them :-s

Just go 9\'s all round, tried and tested and good for just about everyone unless your running something really special under the hood.

9\'s it is then! sorted. are the BUR 9EQ ones suitable or are performance recommended?
