Post by: oscrx on August 09, 2007, 12:41:03 PM
hi guys, im having a bit of a problem!

i have just blown my turbos so took the engine out swaped the pack with a new pack put it all back in and now it runs but when you accelrate fast the engine dies and wont pick up! also when you drive it the turbos only go to 0.00 on the boost gauage! and its the same you can only accelerate slowly and then the boost wont go past 0.00. when you try it just pops and bangs!

any ideas?

i have checked the boost hoses and they are all in the correct places!

thanks for any help in advance!

Have you tried an ecu reset as it may be in limp mode??

How exactly does it die?

If you have a Boost leak and the Primary turbo doesn\'t spool up to a set pressure it will drive really bad.

Have a Good look to make sure every thing is plugged in (water temp and Air temp mainly)

Also have a look at the map sensor, make sure its Piped up properly and plugged in.

Is the map sensor hooked up correctly?

MAP sensor is all ok and plumbed in correctly,

water temp is all in ok, where abouts is the air temp.?

as there are no fault codes it must be something mechanically wrong as the ecu \'tests\' the electrical side of things!?

could it be the actuator below the turbos that controls the wastegate in the turbo manifold? if that wasnt working then it wouldnt be moving to direct the exhaust gasses in the correct direction and so no boost!?!?
