Title: Center Gravity - geometry setup, big recommendation!
Post by: lockwood77 on August 08, 2007, 10:50:59 PM
I went to Center Gravity yesterday and I can\'t recommend them (//www.centergravity.co.uk) enough - Chris is the man! A thoroughly nice chap and extremely knowledgable, plus he\'ll put the work in to get it right - I arrived at 8.30am with my FD and left at 9.30pm with my DC5!

Both now feel awesome - the FD goes so well that I banged my head when Chris went round the first corner because he approached the junction so fast I didn\'t think he was going right!

I think he was pretty impressed with both cars - the FD suspension is a "work of art" and the DC5 is something he\'d "like to spend a day with".

So, I say again, if you\'re gonna get your geometry done, go to Chris at Center Gravity. His equipment is a huge step up from what you\'ll see at your average tyre place - his Beissbarth setup is £45k alone, he thinks it\'s only him and McLaren that have that setup in the UK!

Cost-wise, it\'s £74 for the baseline check, then £49 per hour for adjustments, normally about two hours-worth. Money extremely well spent in my opinion, especially if like me you have two cars with "widdowmaker" rear wheel settings!

I\'m sure Chris would be happy to do a day for rotary owners (although you couldn\'t realistically get more than 3-4 cars done in a day), which I would be happy to arrange just because he\'s a bloody nice chap! :)

You won\'t regret it mate, makes a world of difference and as a result gives you more confidence in the car. Chris has some handy tools and devices for changing bushes too, so might save you some time and trouble getting him to do it at the same time?

Cool, tomorrow\'s a good day to call Chris actually, as Thursday is "admin day" so he\'ll be near the phone. Let me know how you get on! :)
