Title: removing primary diffusers
Post by: dazsir on August 06, 2007, 10:22:22 AM
Has anyone removed these?  I need to take them out and have the machined to accept my new 850\'s - part of a KG Parts fuel system.  The injectors do not work in the original primary rail.

Anyone fitted this system, who can give me some heads up?

Many thanks

eh what? To fit side feed 850\'s as primary\'s you just need to machine the rail so they sit a bit lower and seal

As Alan has said mate, you need to machine the primary rail to accept 850 inj. The diffusers can stay where they are bud, no need to touch them.

Most people use a bolt to remove them, thread the bolt into the top of the diffuser, and pull up as straight as poss.

In what way does the primary rail need machining? As I will be doing this soon, but we couldn\'t see where the machining needs to take place. Is it inside the rail?

I have a rail machined with 850\'s in already which i want to sell mate.It also has -6 AN fittings so you can use Aeroquip hosing.

Poke some tissue in the hole and ease them out slowly, these are brittle and can shatter, if the bits drop in the engine it will mean a strip down.

Thanks for the advice, I have the KG parts primary rail, and associated bosch injectors.

If I had not bought this lot, I would have had that primary rail off you!
