Post by: Col_UK on February 02, 2004, 11:05:08 PM
Ok having spent the last few days reading thru this forum there seems to be a lot of rx\'s that I\'m not aware about
could someone explain to me please the main types on what I think is the 3rd gen model.  I\'ve seen this thread buying guide (http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=394) but it\'s only 1999 onwards
type r etc etc
oh and wot\'s an FD or is that a really daft question?
help would be very much appreciated guys and girls :-)

Col.

Chassis code for the 3rd Gen RX7

They begin FD3S-XXXXXX

A lot of Jap cars are referred to by chassis code, as its easier being more specific than just RX7.  It is slightly geeky though, especially when you know obscure ones that nobody understands :D
