Title: I need a pressure regulator, help pls.
Post by: Bobbit on August 04, 2007, 12:00:58 PM
Hi, I\'ve been having boost probs for a while, basically i\'m getting fully boost after 4500 rpm but only about 3-5psi before. I\'ve tried changing all the solenoids, the turbo control actuator, all the rats nest, the vaccum chamber, the pills etc.But these did not work, now i\'m running increased boost, about 13-14 psi and I\'ve found a link to RX-owners club that seems to describe my problem and the fix, WOO HOO! But it says i need a pressure regulator: click (http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=480079)
Does any one know where to get one, i did a quick search on google but i only found industrial applications that deal with 300psi (i wish i got that much boost!) Does any one know where i can get a pressure regulator?
Thanks for any help guys and gals.

I got one off ebay last week for £7.50 , still to turn up though due to postal strike. Have you checked that you one-way valves are working. Im having a similar problem and found this page very helpful :

Please don\'t mount a regulator near the altonator like this because if you have even the smallest fuel leak you risk a big fire due to the sparks you get within an altonator !

The regulator would be for air pressure not fuel, so would it still cause this?
