How wide can you go on the original 13" wheel for an mkII anyone??
Pete.
Hi Pete
The stock alloy wheel on a 1st gen MK2 is 13" x 5.5J
The opt size for this rim is 165 you might squeeze on a 175 but a 165 would probably perform better.

Min rim widths Toyo state are a bit skimpy, but there you go...
Yeap according to Toyo.
I looked up the rim width then used a tyre calculator, so that is probably using road tyres that tend to have a rounded wall.
Toyo having a squarer wall will give you a bigger width, have look on Rich\'s link to Toyo.
Which incidently we have just started stocking there tyres.
Chears guy\'s,
I am going for the 205/60/13.
But toyo 888s or Yokohama A048s in any recomendaions?
Pete.
Both are excellent.
i have toyo\'s on mine, 225/45/16 rears and 215/45/16 front, i do have a small spacer on the front you may get away without one but i have no problems with the set up, also running super low king springs
not sure if that helps!
Mark
