just changed one of the rear coilovers stuck the wheel back on and started doing up the wheel bolts and one just kept turning and me being a muppet :Hammer kept doing it up and then it just sort of fell off :2eek
What do i do??????
Either drive to garage who will do it for you, it\'ll be fine to drive with 4 studs.
Or wheel off, calliper off, disc off, then press the stud out and pull a new one in (I\'m assuming they\'re the same as most cars and just pressed into the hub?).
You can normally hammer them out, but you may need a punch (read screwdriver ;) ) depending how far back it\'s snapped, and then use a wheel bolt and some spacers to pull it back on.
Oh, and invest in a torque wrench ;) Only need 65 ft lbs. for the wheel nuts.
you could have done my trick - was changing the manifold on the better halfs car
got the torque setting wrong and snapped a stud ( that will teach me for not realising that 80 lbft was foooking tight !! )
mines just a normal wrench, so goes as tight as i want it, but cant tell if i go to far :2Confused
Torque wrench! One of the best tools you\'ll own, used mine so often and it\'s really nice to know it\'s done up to the correct amount, not what "feels" right as depending on the length of the ratchet it can be waaaaaaay different ;)
Go get one, honest, if you do any kind of moderate amount of work on your car you\'ll use it all the time :D
this do the job?

Perfect! Looks like a alright bit of kit, nicer than mine ;)
It covers a good range as well, so should see you good for most bolts really.
