Title: Time to bite the re-build bullet..
Post by: CraigWWW on July 27, 2007, 10:52:15 PM
Hey folks

I have decided its time to either rebuild or replace my tired 13b engine, which has been the cause of much frustration over the last 12months. i have placed a post in the "wanted" section if anyone has a good/modded engine for sale that they would like to offer...

My question is, from the guys or girls that have recently had rebuilds, how much it cost in total. Im looking for a rebuilt engine, street port, decat, filters and PFC..what do u reckon I should budget for all of this, fully installed?

Your thoughts would be much appreciated!!!

Or If anyone in the Glasgow area has experience in FD electrics....?

Thanks
Craig

Hey

Basically, when driving, when i hit 2500rpm its like hitting a brick wall... all power is cut to the engine. As soon as revs drop below, it picks up again.

Coolant buzzer and odometer display have dissappeared also, in the past the problem was intermitent and when the odemeter display flicked back on the car ran fine!

I think its a wiring problem but I have no experience with electrics!

Its been at the Garage in Wishaw for a month but Marc just dont have the time to spend hunting for the problem...
