Title: Do you reckon a 13B would fit in this??
Post by: chrisJDM on July 27, 2007, 11:27:00 AM
This is my girlfriends Mitsubishi Colt, lovely car and nice to drive but is a little slow, its a 1.6i 89bhp.  You can get a cyborg engine whih goes straight in 150bhp, or you can go for the fto V6 lump or early evo lumps, i was thinking maybe something a bit more special and as i love rx7\'s and rotary engines as just wondering.  Prob would never happen and would cost alot of money but just wondering :)

I\'ve seen a civic with a 13b lump in. Only problem is it was front wheel drive. My sister had one of these colt\'s from new. Nice motor. I thought they were more power than 89bhp though.

nope they are only 89bhp i was suprised aswell, they go quite well for it.  Im just imaginig how fun it would be to put a 13b in there, car is pretty light so would be pretty quick, car already as standard has pretty good handling, also has been lowered since that pic so is a bit stiffer is great for chucking round corners :Laugh

You can fit a 13b up to a corolla FWD box

But there is a lot of work involved in doing all that and then grafting it into your colt. Then also the cost of insurance would go up as well. But you knew that already.
Also it would depreciate the value of the colt

Personaly I think the cost and time involved would far exceed what you could get a 1st gen in good condition for that will appreciate in value.
