Title: MRC needs your HELP
Post by: clive on July 25, 2007, 09:14:35 AM
With less than 3 weeks to go the club needs your help now to get the information I have put together below out on the forums because we have very few clubs attending at the moment and unless we get more support quite simply there will not be any more Rotorstock events !.

Many of you frequent other Japanese club forums and so it makes sense
to have you post on these clubs so if there are questions you can then answer them.

Danny (Fish) will post on the 3 main Scooby sites, SIDC, Scooby net and 22b.

Please put your name down on this thread so we know who is looking after what club.

(please paste the invite below as it is on as many forums as you can)

Hello all,

We would like to invite your club to a unique Show and Go event that we are holding not just for our club but for all of the Japanese car community.

Just like your Japanese car club we have heard the complaints about the Jap shows at Santa Pod but at this meeting WE are organising this event the way we believe a pure Japanese car event should be held with queuing cut down to as little time as possible, so by having NO Jet cars, bikes or any other “Demo” stuff clogging up the track just Japanese cars with Japanese engines you will get Max track time.

With unlimited RWYB runs on the strip for £20 on the Saturday from 1pm till 9pm giving us night time Drags, with action all day while we look for the fastest 2 “Wild cards” from each of the classes that will go through to the Rotorstock Drag Championship the next day that also incorporates a round of the HKS series, This also means we will have all the top Drag cars running across the whole weekend.

With sponsorship from Opie Oils, Santa Pod Raceway,  MRP and Mazdarotaryclub this  means the biggest ever prize fund of £2000 that will be divided between the Drag winners across the two days.

This is an event for all Jap car enthusiasts so you just like to Show then we have teamed up with Meguiars to bring you a Show competition or if you like Drift we have something very special.

For the first time ever by teaming up with Driftworks we are taking competitive twin Drifting to Santa Pod with the Rotorstock Drift Championships where the winner will walk away with a trophy and a £1300 clutch from Exedy, not only that you can have a go yourself if you wish because we are running RWYB drift as well for just £20 per day.

Rotorstock grew out of the static car shows that the Japanese car community grew up with and takes all the best from Show,Drag and Drift and puts them all together in one action packed meeting aim just at YOU and your love of Japanese cars.

Don’t miss out on the only real Show and Go event of the year in Europe just for our Japanese cars that is run by a car club full of enthusiasts just like your club for you and us to give us all an Action packed weekend like never before.

Lastly if you thought this was just for our Mazdarotaryclub club members then read this,

The Skyline-owners club said last year “Rotorstock is their best event of the year” and Jap n Crazy car club said this year, “I’ll go, it was by far the best show last year....”

With just 2 weeks to go you will need to book your club in real quick to be part of this unique event and you can contact Santa Pod on 01234 782828 or buy your tickets online at //www.SantaPodShop.com.

For more details go to //www.Rotorstock.com

I\'ve fed the info to Eileen for Japgirls - and from there it\'s been passed on to PreludeUK - if numbers are small we\'ll go for a combined stand - hope to book in the next couple of days.

Please ensure that you direct them to //www.rotorstock.com and especially //www.rotorstock.com/forum as I have tried to make it as easy as possible to have all the information they they need to hand under the "Latest Information" section.

If you think that there should be other information in this section that I have missed then please let me know.

I have had this Pm\'d to me from a member of mkiv Supra club - can we get a stand sorted for people who want to come as the club isnt attending by the looks of it?

"whats the deal with getting past the security gate to get round pitside in the supras as we aint gonna have passes as it dont look like our club is gonna be involved as far as a club stand goes but there are a few of us going to this event but we wont want to leave our supras in the camping field all day!"

As this seems like only a few people ask them to supply a list of names and addresses then send them to lisa@mazdarotaryclub.com and we will send them stand passes for their own stand area.

Sorry nobody has responded to your request Era,

We have always "pestered" clubs this way to come and it\'s always been hard work to get em there,that\'s why I am asking for help.

It\'s not a lot of good just posting on sites and thinking that\'s enough because people will and do ask questions so that\'s why we need help.

Hope this helps

I don\'t know if it\'s just people being a bit jaded after so many \'wet\' shows this year, but RS4 has the makings of being the best event of the year this year  - more than likely to be one of the driest and there is so much on - really can\'t see why people don\'t want to sign up for it.

I bet there is a last minute rush - lol

Sadly I think it\'s all been left a bit late in the day. People like all the info well in advance but as much of it has only just appeared in the last week I persoanlly think it\'s too little too late.

I\'m not having a pop at Clive or Lisa or anyone else as I know just how much behind the scenes work goes on and I for one will be there enjoying every minute of the event of the year!!

Also it\'s holiday season.

It has been left later this year because the last few years we have been told we hit the forums too early. Guess we can\'t win whatever we do.

If it\'s got 4 wheels, it\'s Japanese and it\'s got a Japanese engine it\'s welcome.

Even if the one you mention has a Rover lump or whatever it\'s welcome to come along, just not up the strip.
