T70 single.  for me.  i quite like it, surprising how little lag there is to be honest i thought it was going to be well bad.  but i think it really is minimal.

Stock twins for me too, but would like to get a smallish single in there for pretty much the same power, good response and a very much simplified setup.

i wouldnt bother, tried one of those last year.  if i remember righly it is a GT7800/4300.  as you can imagine it was a little laggy, but suprisingly good considering.  i found it didnt really produce the power that i wanted, now they say it is good for 5000bhp but i found that on a twin rotor i could only get 2644 RWHP out of it.

i have now invested in the sister model GT 7800/4400, which has a slightly larger hotside, so you would expect more lag.  but it is a ball bearing turbo so it seems to spool really quickly.  once i turn my car off you can hear the turbo carry on spinning for about 25 minutes at last count as it slows down, my missuses gets a bit angry at that (or perhaps it was because it sucked in both the dogs as i pulled away last month) so i am not aloud to take it out very often.

yet to have a power run done so cant tell you current figures but i think it will aid me in my english channel jump.  am using the full length of the M20 (and continuing road) to get the speed up on the way to the ramp down in dover.  if i am successful then i will be giving it a few tweaks (upping the boost to 1400psi) so that i can make nice/easy/crisp jump-journey to the ring.

P.s dont worry i bought some new dogs.  I, LIKE (in borat voice)

seems as someones done it before me i can ask a few questions

*will i need a dust mask when climbing up the exhaust to do cleaning and checks

*if i need to get rid of a body would there be any recognisable bits if i fed it in on full boost

*is v-power good enough?

as for the dust mask, i used to use the ones from halfords but found that they didnt seem to work to well, there was generally so much carbon build up that within seconds it just came through the mask.  however i live near a firestation and one day i was passing by and they were doing a boot sale.  i picked up one of there fully enclosed suits and breathing apparatous for £15.00, would you believe it.
if you go down this root i would just advise you to be careful where you get the breathing air bottles refilled/replaced.  i stole a bottle from a hospital once after my missuses had had our baby (she only took a couple of breaths of it, so i assumed there would be plenty left).  next time i went up the exhaust to do the customery check i was lost up there for HOURS.  was crazy what you can find in there, i met that rabbit from alice and wonderland and everything  (bit of a wierd bloke really), when i eventually came out after running out of air i had a banging headache.  so make sure you get the right air as apparently there are different types.

i wouldnt condone getting rid of bodys (unless you were going to be arrested for accidently causing their premiture death).  but put it this way i couldnt find anytrace of my dogs, it was just the little bit of fur on the turbine nut that gave it away.  however talk to the local cremitoriam perhaps they could subsidise your turbo conversion by helping them speed up there process.  (sure you could scrape some dust off you exhaust for them)

V-power seems good but doesnt last long, actually no fuel does.  it tends to be quite thirsty on boost.  when i last calculated it, it seemed to do something like 12 GPM (gallons per mile) that was boosting a bit though

glad i could be of some help

engine was picked up on sat and is yet to be built and the car is still in the bodyshop so it\'ll be touch and go for rotorstock.

as for competition for smiler, i dont really stand a chance as the car prob will be near the same power but diff setup to his in regards to drag racing and mine still has a stock box to his new 6speed dog, also i am def not the pilot he is!

think ill be letting him loose in it though to see what it really can do later in the year:Thumbs-up

I did have a koyo rad but it split so had to go back to stock, but im still seeing temps of 85-87 so its no biggie..
im told the KS can take alot more boost than most, in the region of 1.4 before they start spaccing out due to shaft size so thats always nice to know, Its just a case of porting if i want to see more power..

I think thats about it, im getting tired and im pretty sure its time for bed soon!! :Typing
