Title: how much would you pay?
Post by: J.j. on July 21, 2007, 03:08:57 AM
Hi guys,
Im thinking of going sleek light set up, but bit short on the change having just bought a new seat :)
Would anyone be interested in buying these from me?
Pop up lights with crystal chrome head light kit(from Japan), HID(supplied by Clive, MRP) and brand new mazda oem head light covers.
or am I better off selling them seperated?

Here\'s a pic of the head light kit

I\'d be intrested in the whole lot too, but you should give us an idea of what you want for it all and if your willing to split bits which may make it easier to sell. If anything I\'d definatly take the headlight covers as I\'m desparate for some! Dibs lol!! ;)

For the whole lot I\'ll start bidding at 150 pounds.
For the light covers I\'ll offer 40 pounds.

Id be interested in the whole lot too.  Depending on condition/price?  What K rating are the HID\'s? and is the kit plug and play or do you have to cut wires?

BTH guys, have no idea what to ask.  Havent fitted anything else yet, dont even wanna change them, they look perfect to me, but my gf prefers sleek lights like RE-A or C West ones   Now since that I spent more time n money on the car than her, thought might be a good idea agreeing with her for just once :Giggle

The HIDs are 8k but not too blue funny enough, just nice and white :)  from here http://www.mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=33461

How much do standard pop up lights go for these days anyway??
All I know is that the crystal lights, HIDs and the cover cost me £430, so I guess some of that plus whatever the pop ups go for?
Dont think I\'d want to split them just in case no one buys the actual pop up units from me, then I\'d be stucked with them without all those goodies :(
A set of brand new cover for £40 Ben? :spank :flamed :rollin :Laugh  nice try though :Thumbsup!

The lights are in good condition, no crack.  The covers are brand new(in a bodyshop right now to be sprayed and fitted on mine.  The HIDs are plug n play.  The guy installed it cracked one of the plug, but this does not affect anything.

What you paid for them, or there cost new is completely irrelevant - unless you dont really want to sell them.

I thought Ben\'s offer was a pretty reasonable starting point fwiw, cant see many people paying loads for essentially stock looking lights - buyers market and all that; most people would rather a sleek or more individual looking light setup if they were to be paying hundreds for it.

The thread is titled "how much would you pay" - Ben\'s told you, if you have a number in your head just put them in the for sale section and see what happens. I\'m sure Ben knows what they cost new, I doubt it has much influence on what he\'d pay for them tho!

You asked \'how much would you pay\', dont be annoyed by people telling you.

Just my £0.02, no offence ;)

I still dont know what they are worth thats why I started asking how much the standard pop ups are worth then maybe be work it out from there.
Of course Ben can offer whatever he feels like and no I wasnt annoyed by him(Im sure he knows me better than that:chat ), nor was I annoyed by any other interests.
I am however a little bit annoyed or puzzled as why Im having to write this :2Rolleyes

Lol! Sorry if its too low just thought I\'d start the ball rolling.:)
I think you\'d want more like 350 - 400 but its out of my price range really, but it doesn\'t hurt to try eh!

What a weird thread, surely you know what you paid for them so you know what they\'re worth to you. And then someone told you what they would pay...what more were you expecting?!

I\'m interested in the lights but not the HID kit. I guess you need to start a "for sale" thread if you want to sell them. Do you actually want to sell them? I\'m confused

Just sell them!! ;)

My FD is taking AGES!! I always wondered why builds take so long and now I know, everthing takes so long to measure cut, check, cut again, weld, blah, blah! Still by Rotorstock it should have all the bracing completed and be back together. I can\'t wait!! :D
