Title: Anyone have a 450bhp+ bare ar5ed rex?
Post by: Nuk Su Kow on July 19, 2007, 03:29:46 PM
If so, how does it handle at high speed?
Do you miss the down force? any scary moments?

I have a diffuser but I don\'t think that\'ll be enough to stabilise....

Cheers :WaveBye

Unless you\'ve got a proper racing jobby then it probably doesn\'t do much anyway. I asked a racing guy what he thought about my cf GT spoiler and he just laughed saying its propably giving me more upforce than down, so I promptly removed it. I\'ve done 175 with bare arse and I don\'t notice any difference.

Since I removed mine I havent noticed any adverse effects in mine travelling at high speed

i have a big powered single. bought it with a wing ( but previous owner had taken it off and put it in the boot.) Over 100mph on the M25 i almost lost it. it was lethal. put the wing back on as soon as i got home and it was fine at 160 the other night

Not very clever stating how fast you were going on the M25. Dont you read the papers.

I think you\'ll be surprised just how much downforce the diffuser gives (he says after losing the back end on the Ring and smacking the car hard). Can\'t say I noticed any difference at high speed, but then I do only have a lowly 320bhp... (sob)...
