Title: Removing the rear wiper... quick question...
Post by: Jim_rx7 on July 18, 2007, 10:08:02 PM
IS there a way I can remove it, fill it etc without getting the whole lid painted??

Possible to DIY, or does a bodyshop need to do it and paint the whole lid?

You could use a rubber bung to fill the hole, but it wouldn\'t look too good. At least you\'d get the idea of what a smooth arse looks like before you spend the money at the body shop.

Yeah... tbh.. you wouldn\'t really notice a rubber bung that much unless you looked close up. It\'d do until I went to bodyshop. Would use a little silicone also, to prevent leaks.

I\'ll do a search on removing it.

I needed the clearance for some audio so I removed mine and put a rubber bung in. TBH I\'ve never noticed it becuase of the spoiler and I think it looks neater without the wiper.

Only downside is rain on the window!

Something i should have dun when i painted mine, but still have to get it in the paint shop to redo the stock side skirts in some flexable paint so there is still time.

Never ever used my rear wiper.
