Title: Rear Wiper problem
Post by: Kron on July 16, 2007, 05:30:07 PM
I can\'t seem to get the rear wiper going (and the MOT is tomorrow) I\'ve gone through the fuse box today looking for 10A fuses that have blown and they all look fine.

Since the rear washer works I guess its going to be something other than the fuse?

Any ideas chaps?

Take off the wiper for the mot. The tester might not notice. Then you have time to sort it out at your leisure. Other than that im not sure. Mine was the same when i bought it but it was just the fuse. Sorry i can\'t be of more help.

mine\'s not working either > i\'ve got power on a meter on the tele/window strut - if I put power direct to the wiper - it works! : but when back is shut it don\'t work? :2Confused

Can any of you confirm -  The rear wiper is not part of the MOT anyway.

If its fitted then its best to work but safe bet is to take the thing off for MOT. other than that buy my wiper motor that i am selling. !!

could be the switch on the dash or the relay.

It turns out that the car won\'t fail the MOT with the rear wiper not being operational.

Another problem though lol :

While I was driving it down there the car decided to dump some brownish but relatively clear water on the passenger side floor mat. I\'m guessing this is the Air Con?

well it could be the heater matrix, check the hose connections from inside the engine bay, there are two of them on the upper side of the bulkhead, make sure thay are not loose and then check the matrix. if this is gone then its dash out i\'m afraid to replace that.  Might be the aircon unit but that should not be brown fluid?
