Title: Idle just started hunting ?
Post by: ace-rx7 on July 14, 2007, 04:19:11 PM
Right, drove the car to work and back yesterday 100miles, no probs at all stopped off on way back for 20 mins. When starting up agian Idle just bounces from 900-1500 ? well had to get home so carried on, car was missing, back firing.
it was boosting fine when passing miss fire. So thought f*&% it if it on way out then lets get it to blow and go from there!!! so gunned it home ! well it didnt go pop.

so what should i be checking and in what order ?

ps it was raining loads so could it just be that something got damp or am i just being a bit optomistic as it is still doing today ?

Guess it could also tps and throttle idle need adjusting, also lambda.
As well as a hundred other things, just start looking.

Vac leak duz sound highly likely though given thair history of developing em.
