Title: Sunroof Problems
Post by: FEED Rocket on July 11, 2007, 12:55:44 PM
Hi, my mate has an rex which is having major issues with the sunroof. Motor sounds fine but the sunroof won\'t open. It moves a tiny bit then makes a grinding noise. Any tips how to solve this problem?

Hiya, mine does this sometimes....
Try
1. Let go off switch then press again...it actually has two sections of movement....no.1 up...then no.2 up and back
2. Push on the sunroof slightly....ive found it just gets stuck a bit sometimes

silicone lube the runners and spiral dives if you can get to them. not specific to 7\'s but on all sunroofs in general the grease will dry and harden, then cause more problems than it solves. silicon(or ptfe) spray will soften the grease and help free the roof.
