Title: Some questions
Post by: vixpy1 on July 08, 2007, 10:12:37 PM
1) What are the chassis differences between the Series 5 cab and Series 5 coupe? Do they both have rear steer?

2) Fuel pump and injectors, does anybody do side feed injectors of 750cc or more that go straight in? Apart from the ebay crap ones. Also, what fuel pump is best, and where to get both from?

The car is funny caged now, however i\'ve had to buy a new roof skin off mazda which has slightly delayed the trip to the paintshop. Some pics will follow soon.

Cheers,

Charlie

Vixpy,

Q1) Vert has the rear steer thingies as well. DTSS - you can by eliminators for these - just a replacement bush

Q2) As far as I know, both injector sets (primary and secondary) are top feed not side feed. I brought a pair of Venom injectors from TLF Performance - they are flow tested and are not rebores. All new O rings as well. I paid just under £90 delivered for mine from the US. Mine are direct drop in replacement - high impendance for the Tubby II engine (S5) - saturation type - not the peak/hold type.  Fuel pump - depends on how much HP you want to make - Walboro or FD pump good for upto 350/400 and a straight in tank replacement, after that you are looking at Bosch or a Skyline pump

I think I might have seen your FC on the drive once - black one - we went to Knaphill to pay a cheque off to Claire for JAE
