Title: Bench Compression Test?
Post by: greg_whit_se7en on July 06, 2007, 08:46:56 PM
Hi,

Was wondering if anyone knew of a more accurate way to test compression while an engine is out of the car?

I know the simple turn the engine over by hand and count the "chugs" method (whilst engine is out), and know how to do the standard compression test with compression tester (whilst engine is in the car).

Would appreciate any help,

Greg

Only if you pull the motor with the Gearbox still on, Then you can connect the Starter to a battery and crank it over that way, But you would still need a Comp tester.
