Anyone know what are the standard anti roll bar diameters are (front and back) for R1’s and R2’s etc?
Thanks
Did you ever get an answer to this?
I think my front ARB is bent and I\'d like to know if it\'s a standard item for the R2 or if it\'s aftermarket... It\'s pretty chunky, especially compared to the back which looks like a bit of wire!
Nope, gave up I\'ll tell you mine if you tell me yours:Laugh
I didn\'t measure... D\'oh! But I\'d say it must be 20mm thick at a guess... Maybe 15mm...
The rear only looks like it\'d be 10mm or so.
Front bar on my \'92 car is 28m - and looks to be the standard one rather than after market.
I\'ll be getting rid of this bar if you want a replacement. I\'ve a vey tasty bit of kit being made in the US to replace it.
Next time I\'m under mine I\'ll measure them, The reason I originally asked was that as mine is a Type X and meant to be the softer option I wondered if The anti roll bars were smaller. If they are it might be a cheap upgrade swapping to R1\'s etc.
Just measured mine,
Front 23mm, rear 16mm. And thats from a 94 type X
Would be good to see a few more results, come on get under that car!
Edit: my front is 28mm
Measured my front finally, with the £6 digital verniers from Aldi (sooo cheap!) :D
It was 28.44mm, so that\'s a 28mm ARB and 0.44mm of grime and road cr*p.
Mine\'s a 94 R2 model.
So it looks like just the dampers/springs rates were changed on the different models then.
