Its just when I push the clutch down, would that effect the brakes? It has been sitting for a while without gettting used.

As Ian has said, clutch release bearing especially if the inspection plate is missing from the bell housing and let water in,

Try and spray some aerosol spray grease from an can onto the bearing through the inspection hole mentioned to see if it shuts it up, however long term it will probably need renewing.

O that sounds a bit more serious than what I was hoping for, I was going to get the old WD40 out later on after work or when I get an hour or so and try that first.. I was hoping it would be that simple..  I will PM you later if it doesnt though! thanks :) :god

WD will at least tell you if it\'s that but as WD mostly consists of water it has very little lubricating properties so spray grease would be better,

Have a look at the top of the page for suppliers

Just to let you know I got it sorted with the old WD,  just sprayed it up into the clutch bit thing in the footwell thing ( not a very technical term I know.. :D) and now its squeak free. woot, glad that was easy.. :Laugh.  Thank you for the advice :)

Taken it down to WGT in August ( when I get of my arse an book it in) does he does MOTs?

Magic :D. you\'ve made my day saying that.. :D I was worried about letting someone up here do an MOT on my rx. Esp as I\'ve now learnt not to let anyone but an actual rx7 specialist near my car. sad eh.. but its a family member, so only the best for it.. hehe.

Ive got a list of stuff for him too look at when I bring it down. Does he do deals like tesco.. fix 1 get 1 fix free? :Laugh

Hmmmm sadly you wont get anything for free unless you charm the socks off Pip :rollin :rollin :rollin

Recently i will only go to a rotary specialist if theres an actual issue with the engine itself, everything else is like a normal car so i take it to my local performance mechanic, i have to say though in that regard that my local mechanic loves the RX so will get it in at very short notice and loves working on it. One thing i do stress is that if you take it else where STAY with the car so no one messes about with it as they are rare and some one might be tempted to take it for a quick spin which is very unprofessional, only place i left my car over night was at WGT :D

Have fun, Pip\'s knowledge is second to none something like 22 years experience working on rotaries :bandit
