Title: chevettes emmisions test...
Post by: yoeddynz on July 04, 2007, 03:04:30 PM
My mot man said chevette is high on emmisions. He stuck a thingee up its bum and I said it should be visual test on engines up to 1986. Hes going to check his book- its the first rotary hes tested.
Just checking but i\'m sure this is correct so I have printed a page stating it so to show him.

Has anyone else had this problem?...

and how much emmissions do rotarys actually put out (givin that they burn oil  as designed)?

How do later cars get around it?

Car past on everything else- headlamps need adjusting..so if i\'m correct and there is no nasty visible smoke at idle (which there aint) it should be all good
:D

Good news- car past! He looked in his book and I was right. Visual test up to 87.
He said it was the first rotor motor hes done. He liked the car and apart from headlights needing adjusting it flew through! Cool. see you fellas at Retro show!
